411 Trafalgar Road - The George Burton Nesbitt and Marion Moore Nesbitt House

The house was first owned by George "Burton" Nesbitt (1922-1991).

George “Burton” Nesbitt was born on January 8, 1922 in Richmond, Ontario, close to Ottawa. He married Marion Moore and together they had 4 children. In mid 1948 they purchased their home at 411 Trafalgar Rd., and Burton Nesbitt began building his house in the evenings. The house was completed in 1949. He was listed as a mechanic in town at the time the house was built, however, spent
most of his working career as a salesman at Ferro Enamels. They lived there for 15 years, sold in 1964 and moved to Pallatine Dr. They
left that home in 1975 and eventually made their way to Port Elmsley near Ottawa. Burton died in 1991 and his wife Marion in 2013. They are both buried in Richmond.
